I purchased my copy at my local quilt store and purchased this for my girlfriend to get her started on quilting. The concept here is good but if you are brand new to quilting, especially if you are also new to sewing, this is NOT the book for you. Better thought needed to be given to labeling colors (VERY confusing as to what is what when you read the instructions and crucial to success). Also, whenever someone writes a book like this, they really need to then have it "tested" by the audience it is written for, not their experienced quilting friends. In working through this with my girlfriend, I wished I gone with another book for her. Although a lot of good information is included, this is not a beginner's book, even though it was written as one.
